I Believe in Fathers
I believe in
fathers. Last Sunday was father’s day and I reflected on my father.  Even though I was only 8 when my father
passed away, I still have memories of him.
I remember a time I was riding on State Street with him and he had to
slam on the brakes and I went flying into the dashboard.  There was no such thing as a car seat in
those days.  He had tried to stick out
this arm to stop me but I slammed into it pretty hard.  I was only about 5 and I really started to
cry. He was so sad that I had gotten hurt and I knew he was sorry and that he
loved me.  I remember another time that
he woke me up asking, “Do you want to go to Disneyland?”  I remember that he seemed excited to be going
to Disneyland.  Fathers are important and
we should honor them and the sacrifices they have made and make for us.  I hope my children know that I love them and
am proud to be their father.  I have
tried to be a good example.  I am not
perfect and have made some mistakes.  But
I have been consistent and I was always excited to go on any trip with them.  Maybe they will remember this about me.  I enjoy being with them. I believe in FATHERS.

You are an awesome dad! Love you!
